Second Roll-Off Truck Added to LSWDD Fleet

We have great news: Lopez Solid Waste has added a second roll-off truck to our fleet! This is a major accomplishment, enabling the team to manage our community's waste reliably, safely, and efficiently.

The purchase was possible thanks to our committed and knowledgeable staff, who searched far and wide and found the perfect fit from City of Tacoma Public Works, and to YOU, Lopez voters, who year after year show your support by approving our annual LSWDD Levy. We couldn't have done it without you! Hurrah for local infrastructure investment!

LSWDD processes more and more waste every year as our community grows, all within the same small facility. In the first six months of 2026, we hauled nearly 420 tons of garbage, which is nearly twice what we hauled ten years ago. A second roll-off truck enables us to safely and efficiently collect and transport increasing volumes of waste for years to come.
