Households and businesses can dispose of garbage at Lopez Solid Waste for a fee — see below for a complete list of disposal fees. Save money and reduce waste by recycling many plastic, paper, glass, and metal items for free!

GARBAGE DISPOSAL
A 3.5% processing fee will be added to each credit card transaction.
GARBAGE BY VOLUME
Minimum charge – $6.00
32-gallon container – $12.00
55-gallon container – $21.00
Non-standard containers – $0.38 per gallon
Truck/trailer load, common – $2.81 per cubic foot
Truck/trailer load, high-density* – $5.62 per cubic foot

UNSECURED LOADS
Car load not properly secured – $3.00

Take It or Leave It (TIOLI) is a free exchange of reusable items, including clothes, tools, books, furniture, kitchenware, sports equipment, jewelry, and more. Some items are still subject to disposal fees and all items must be approved by TIOLI staff.
PaintCare — On Sundays only, bring qualifying paint products to the Lopez Dump for reuse and recycling. Please review guidelines and limitations here.
Hazardous Waste Disposal — Some hazardous materials can be safely disposed of at the Lopez Dump. Others must be stored and disposed of at a Househould Hazardous Waste Round-Up event. See guidelines here.
