Car load not properly secured – $3.00
Truck/trailer load not properly secured – $5.00
FREE LITTER DISPOSAL
If you pick up litter on a public beach, roadway, or trail, you can dump it at Lopez Solid Waste for free. Notify the kiosk attendant upon arrival and let them know where you picked it up and how many people helped.
FREE RECYCLING & REUSE
Many items can be dropped off for recycling at no charge:

Many reusable items can be donated at Take It Or Leave It (TIOLI), including clothes, tools, books, furniture, kitchenware, sports equipment, jewelry, and more. Some items are still subject to disposal fees and all items must be approved by TIOLI staff.

Hazardous Waste Disposal — Some hazardous materials can be safely disposed of at the Lopez Dump. Others must be stored and disposed of at a Household Hazardous Waste Round-Up event. See all hazardous waste guidelines >
