Households and businesses can dispose of garbage at Lopez Solid Waste for a fee — see below for a complete list of disposal fees. Save money and reduce waste by recycling many plastic, paper, glass, and metal items for free!
GARBAGE DISPOSAL
A 3.5% processing fee will be added to each credit card transaction.

Minimum charge – $5.00
32-gallon container – $10.00
55-gallon container – $17.60
Non-standard containers – $0.32 per gallon
Truck/trailer load, common – $2.34 per cubic foot
Truck/trailer load, high-density* – $4.68 per cubic foot

FREE RECYCLING & REUSE

Take It or Leave It (TIOLI) is a free exchange of reusable items, including clothes, tools, books, furniture, kitchenware, sports equipment, jewelry, and more. Some donated items, listed on the left, are still subject to disposal fees.
PaintCare — On Sundays only, bring qualifying paint products to the Lopez Dump for reuse and recycling. Please review guidelines and limitations here.
Hazardous Waste Disposal — Some hazardous materials can be safely disposed of at the Lopez Dump. Others must be stored and disposed of at a Househould Hazardous Waste Round-Up event. See guidelines here.
