Take It or Leave It (TIOLI)
TIOLI is a "free store" at the Lopez Dump where we share reusable items, strengthening our island's circular economy and reducing our collective waste. Before you visit, please review our hours and policies below!
HOW IT WORKS
1. DONATE — On Saturdays and Mondays, bring clean, seasonally appropriate, and functional items to donate. Each item must be inspected and approved by TIOLI staff. Before donating, please review our Donation Policies below.
2. SHOP — On Fridays and Sundays, "shop" for what you need and take it for free! Space is limited, so please be attentive to all signs, staff, and traffic. Staff may limit capacity or shopping time to accommodate large crowds.

Donation Policies

Donations are accepted on Saturdays & Mondays only.

Each item must be approved by TIOLI staff.

Staff may refuse any item for any reason, including but not limited to safety, seasonality, condition, and capacity.

Some items are not accepted at TIOLI — see "Do Not Bring" list below.

If your item is not accepted, it is your responsibility to take it off-site or pay to throw it away. Please respect all TIOLI staff decisions.

Fees still apply to some items, even if they are accepted at TIOLI. Fees are subject to change by the LSWDD Managing Board. See all fees here.
Do not bring these items to TIOLI:
• Hazardous materials — see the full list >
• Food, beverages, or medications
• Inflatable beds or flotation devices
• Printers, scanners, copiers, or fax machines
• Styrofoam or items made from styrofoam
• Baby chairs, cribs, or car seats
• VHS or cassette tapes
• Ceiling fans
• Modems
• Toilets
Only bring the following items if they are sealed in original packaging:
• Hygiene & bathroom products
• Vitamins & supplements
• Underwear
• Head pillows
• Disposable dishware
