(from Sandy Bishop)
We have collected over 1,400 signatures to date.
Come celebrate on Tuesday, May 15th from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. we will PARTY AT THE DUMP!
Mark your calendars. Tuesday, May 15, 5:30-7pm. for a Party and Celebration of our work together.
Celebrate the conclusion of the Solid Waste petition drive at the place we all love, our Lopez Dump! Celebrate Neil Hanson and all his efforts over the last two decades, celebrate all the volunteers that work behind the scenes and celebrate that we are one step closer to Lopez control of the management of the Dump.
On Tuesday, May 15th I’ll have just returned from delivering over 1400+ petition signatures to the auditors office in Friday Harbor.
Say hi to Neil and see the master plan for the Dream Dump.
Bring a plate of finger food (savory or sweet) to share and your own beverage. Water and napkins (only) provided…We’re moving toward Zero Waste! Everyone welcome!
Let’s make this as close to a Zero Waste event as possible. Pack your own cups and plates and bring them along and then take them home to wash them.
You are encouraged to carpool, walk, ride a bike, motorcycle of scooter. Please come who ever you are – Join us in celebrating this milestone.
For more information or to find out how you can help (such as volunteering to help park cars, taking photos, etc.) please contact: Sarah Eppenbach at sarah@epcodesign.com.
Thanks everyone – job well done to date!
PS We still need people to work the petition at the dump for the 2-4 shift on Saturday May 12th and for both shifts on Sunday, May 13. The petitions will be left on the round table at Take It of Leave It. Take a shift and help us break 1,500 signatures.
PPS Please turn in all signatures in by 5pm Sunday the 13th to Blossom Grocery. We’ll be taking a final tally on Monday.
